City Park Rules
  • City residents will be charged a $5.00 fee for use of the pavillions. This fee must accompany the application, payable the City of Morris. (Refundable only if disapproved.)
  • Non-residents will be chared a $25.00 fee for use of the pavillions. This fee must accompany the application, payable to the City of Morris. (Refundable only if not approved to rent.)
  • Pavillion reservations are limited to groups of 25 persons or more.
  • Applications will be accepted starting the first Monday of April for renting from May 1st through October 15th. Please stop in Morris City Hall at 320 Wauponsee Street to fill out the park reservation form. Parks are reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • One reservation in a 30 day period is allowed by the same person or group.
  • City park hours are 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.
  • No alcohol is permitted in any of the City Parks.
  • You must be a resident of the City of Morris to pay the $5.00 fee. If we find that the application is made by you for someone who is a non-resident, your privileges to rent the City Park will be denied in the future.

District 101 Recreation Center

The Rec Center offers three basketball courts, a swimming pool, circuit training, and a weight room (children must be in at least high school to enter either weight room).

American Red Cross Swim Lessons and Aqua Fitness are offered throughout the school year.

The District 101 Rec Center is located behind the Morris Community High School (door 31).

The Rec Center is CLOSED on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Labor Day, and Memorial Day.

During Football Season the Rec Center is Closed on Friday Evenings of Home Football Games.

Pools
City of Morris Pool

The City of Morris has a public swimming pool located in Goold Park. It is open from Memorial Day through August 15. Pool hours are daily 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., weather permitting. The cost for residents of Morris is $1.00 per child and $3.00 per adult. The cost for non-residents of Morris is $2.00 per child and $5.00 per adult. Pool passes are available (for Morris residents ONLY) through Morris City Hall or at the Morris Pool for $20.00 (invalid on holidays and Sundays), good for 20 swims.

The City of Morris offers Red Cross swimming lessons at the Morris Pool during the month of July with sign up in late June. Watch the local media for sign up information during the month of June, or contact City of Morris Pool at (815) 942-2919 for swim lessons information or JoAnn Ingle at (815) 942-4110.


District 101 Recreation Center Pool

An indoor pool is available year-round at the District 101 Recreation Center for public use. Red Cross certified swim lessons are also available year-round. Swim lessons are available for adults, youth and parent-tot. Please call the office at (815) 941-5358 for more information.
