| Stop by City Hall at 320 Wauponsee Street or call us at (815) 942-4028. We will need the following information: your full legal name, the service address, the billing address, date you take possession of the property, day and evening phone numbers, employer, social security number, whether you will own or rent, and whether the use of the property will be residential or commercial. |
"I received a "red tag" on my front door that says 'NOTICE Water Shut Off'. What do I do now?" |
This tag appears on your door marked with a date and time at which the City will discontinue utility services for non-payment. If you wish to continue to recieve City utilities, pay the balance due indicated on the tag by the date and time shown on the tag. Failure to pay IN PERSON AT CITY HALL will result in discontinuance of utilities. A reconnection charge of $50.00 is assessed to your account if you are disconnected by the water department. Red tags are only given to customers who are seriously delinquent in their payments. If you have any questions, do not wait until after you are disconnected. Please call the Water Department at (815) 942-4028. |
